Christ Community Church of Mount Airy Marks First Year

On May 24th 2009 Christ Community Church of Mount Airy held its worship service outside in the parking lot of Millennium Charter Academy in celebration of the church’s one-year anniversary.  One year ago our first worship service was held in the parking lot of Creekside Cinema.

Several members of the congregation shared what a blessed year it has been and how thankful they are to the church’s pastor, Dr. David Brady, and his wife, Jennifer, for their leadership, love and devotion to share the gospel with the church, the community and the world.

Some highlights of the year have been:  the first baptism which was held at Fisher River Park in Dobson; first Pastor Appreciation Day (also held at Fisher River Park); three parent/child dedication services; support to Southern Baptist missions: the N.C. Baptist Cooperative Program, the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, as well as supporting Lifeline Pregnancy Help Center, the Salvation Army, The Shepherd’s House, Yokefellow Ministries, Foothills Food Pantry, and Joy Ranch.  The church also has organized a Women’s Missionary Union and a Christian Men’s Ministry, held its first evangelistic outreach event, held two eight-week sessions of home group Bible studies, and had its first wedding.

Christ Community Church meets at Millennium Charter Academy located at 500 Old Springs Road in Mount Airy.  Sunday School begins at 9:00am and the Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:30am.  Our Wednesday Prayer & Bible Study meets at 6:00pm.
