What the Bible Teaches Us About Public Confession of Faith in Jesus:
Matthew 10:32 So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven.
Romans 10:9 “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
1.  Do you confess your sinfulness before God, and do you trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation?   I Do
2.  Do you believe the Bible to be the authoritative and flawless Word of God, and its message of salvation to be perfect, trustworthy and true? I Do
3.  Do you acknowledge Jesus Christ as your sovereign Lord, and do you promise, in reliance on the grace of God, to serve him with all that is in you, to continue to fight against your sin, and to lead a godly life?    I Do
4.  Do you agree to submit in the Lord to the government of this church and, in case you should be found delinquent in doctrine or life, to heed its discipline?    I Do
